I must admit, I’m a home magazine junkie. I subscribe to most of them and those I don’t I often wind up buying on the newsstand. I read them from cover to cover the same way sports fans pour over league stats. I get many of my ideas from them and at times discover something I’ve done or recently bought has become a “must have” or the “latest thing” in the world of home décor. It’s a great hobby of mine and has served me well in my most recent undertaking as blogger for PostandBeamLiving.
I’ve always found myself attracted to homes with great architectural “bones” but lately I find another requirement of mine is the need for efficiency. I’m still all about the look but now there has to be serviceable function to back up those looks!
With these things in mind, over the course of my next few posts I’ll show you timber frame homes I’m loving right now!
Today’s featured home is the one pictured above, located on Edisto Island in South Carolina. This house is a gem from the time you round the bend and catch your first glimpse to the total sense of relaxation that washes over you as you walk through the front door!
